Russian forces has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.
